Our Story
2015
What began as a home-brewing passion soon became something much bigger for us. After brewing hundreds of litres at home, we wanted to see how far we could take our recipes and whether our beer could meet professional standards. We travelled to the UK for training, attended hands-on microbrewery seminars and learned directly from people in the industry. This was the year our hobby started becoming a serious craft.
2016
With new knowledge, better techniques and stronger recipes, we knew it was time to take the next step. In 2016, we moved from small home-brewing batches to professional brewing equipment, allowing us to produce larger quantities while improving consistency and quality. We spent countless hours testing, adjusting and refining each beer, making sure the character of our original recipes remained at the heart of everything we brewed.
2017
By 2017, our passion for brewing had grown into a full-time commitment. We decided to take the risk and dedicate ourselves completely to building the brewery. That year, we launched our first two flagship beers, Humor IPA and Humor Weiss, and our brand evolved from Hop Thirsty Friends into Humor Beer. It was the moment our dream started becoming a real brand.
2018
The response we received from beer lovers, professionals and distributors encouraged us to keep growing. In 2018, we invested in a larger microbrewing system, giving us the ability to increase production while staying true to our craft approach. This was a defining step for us, as we moved from experimentation to building a brewery ready to reach more people across Cyprus.
2019
By 2019, our beers were becoming available in bars, pubs and restaurants across Cyprus. Our range continued to grow with beers such as IPA, Weiss, Pilsner and Pale Ale, each brewed with the same focus on freshness, quality and character. What started as a small home-brewing experiment had become a recognised Cyprus microbrewery, built on passion, persistence and our love for honest, flavourful beer.
